Bachelor's  Degree in Turkish Language Teaching

Admission Requirements
Candidates must have a high school diploma or an equivalent school diploma, and must have obtained the scores stipulated in the categories determined in the exams held by the Assessment, Selection and Placement Center.

Qualification Requirements
The student must have passed all the courses in the program and must not have an FF, FD or TT grade. In this program, the student must provide a minimum of 240 ECTS credits and a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.

Prior Education
Students studying at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University may be exempt from certain courses within the framework of certain regulations. Students will be exempted from courses if the course content is approved by the relevant college/faculty/institute administrative board and applied in due time.

History
Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University, Department of Turkish Education was established in 2001 and started to accept students in the 2001-2002 academic year.

Program Profile
The aim of this program is to have a good field and vocational training in the education process, to have a wealth of theoretical knowledge supported by universal values, to have analytical thinking ability, to have an advanced understanding of social responsibility and ethics, to be able to put into practice using the knowledge and skills acquired after graduation, to produce ideas and policies, To train individuals who can work in the field of education in the national and international arena.

Program Qualifications
1-To be able to make plans suitable for teaching Turkish.
2-To be able to organize learning environments suitable for teaching Turkish.
3-To be able to use materials and resources suitable for the Turkish teaching process.
4-To be able to use technological resources in Turkish teaching.
5-To enable students to use Turkish correctly and effectively.
6-To be able to develop students' listening/watching, speaking, reading and writing skills.
7-To be able to use measurement and evaluation tools and methods in Turkish teaching.
8-To be able to interpret and give feedback on the results of the measurement made to determine the language development of the students.
9-To be able to reflect the results of the measurement made to determine the language development of the students into practice.
10-To be able to cooperate with the society in making the school a cultural and learning center.
11-To be able to determine their professional qualifications.
12-To be able to provide personal and professional development related to Turkish teaching.
13-To be able to benefit from scientific research methods and techniques in applications for professional development.
14-Using a foreign language at least at the B1 level of the European Language Portfolio, follows the information in the field and communicates with colleagues.
15-Uses information and communication technologies at the advanced level of the European Computer Use License.

Exams, Assessment and Grading
Exams consist of midterm, final and make-up exams. Exams; written, oral, written-practical and oral-practical. At least one midterm exam is held for each course in the relevant semester. The method of measurement and evaluation applied for each course is defined in detail in the "Course Teaching Plan" in accordance with Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulations.

Graduation Requirements
Students who successfully complete all the courses available in the program (for a total of 240 ECTS) and achieve a grade point average of at least 2.0 out of 4.00 are entitled to graduate.

Graduate Employment
After graduation, our students attend classes as Turkish teachers in schools and private teaching institutions affiliated to the Ministry of National Education.

Upgrade
Those who have successfully completed their undergraduate education can start the graduate program provided that they get a valid grade from ALES and YDS or equivalent exams.
